PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Plans to move China Town’s Right 2 Dream Too homeless camp to a parking lot in the Pearl District could come to a screeching halt.

Right 2 Dream Too resident Marty looks over a series of doors that were among the city justifications for fining owners of the homeless campsite property. A deal to move the campsite will render the door/wall obsolete, unless it is moved to the new site underneath the Broadway Bridge. Undated photo. (Jaime Valdez/Portland Tribune)

Lawyers for the Pearl Hotel Investors and Hoyt Street Properties notified the Portland Development Commission this week that using the lot under the broadway bridge would violate a development agreement.

This means developers could ask for a court order to block the move.

The Portland City Council is scheduled to approve the move Thursday during its city council meeting.
