PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) –A dump truck dangled precariously over the railing of an I-5 flyover ramp in downtown Portland Friday afternoon, shutting the freeway for about two hours.
A freeway entrance was shut down after a dump truck was stuck and left hanging precariously over the railing of an Interstate-5 flyover ramp in downtown Portland Friday afternoon.
Sometime before 1:30 p.m. the dump truck ran over the bridge rail on I-5 south, closing the I-5 on-ramp to I-84 east. A tow truck was called in to remove the truck, and ODOT crews came to check for possible damage.
The truck was removed and the road re-opened at 3:15 p.m.
No one was hurt, according to Portland police. The cause of the crash was not confirmed.
