Fire, explosions and SWAT in Clackamas

CLACKAMAS, Ore. (KOIN) — A fire and explosions engulfed a one-story house in Clackamas Friday afternoon, but firefighters were told to evacuate when a SWAT unit arrived.

The SWAT unit was immediately called to a home on Southeast McKinley and Roots after fire crews saw a man running from the burning home. The man ran next door, broke inside, then barricaded himself in the attic of the home.

The man was arrested and the fire was controlled.

Arson investigators are on scene.
