Baseball field dedicated to Jake Arntson

CLACKAMAS, Ore. (KOIN) — Jake Arntson died on New Year’s Eve when the truck his dad was driving veered off an icy stretch of Interstate 84 into the Columbia River.

Now the baseball field at the Oregon Trail Elementary School will forever include a memorial to Jake.

At just 7-years-old, Jake was already a fixture at the Clackamas High School baseball field — where his dad is a coach. On Thursday a new field was dedicated in Jake’s honor, with Jake’s dad John Arntson calling it a field of dreams.
