The Portland Police Bureau reported Wednesday that they are searching for 18-year-old Daniel Delbert Dorson.

On the afternoon of July 15, Larry Allen was cleaning the sidewalk outside the Portland Outdoor Store where he has worked for nearly four decades when a group of transient teens began harassing him.

“One girl got up and said ‘Are you really going to spray the sidewalk?’ and I said, ‘Yeah, that’s part of my job,’” Allen told KOIN back in July.

“So I kind of presumed she wanted to start something.”

According to Allen and witnesses, one of them beat Allen over the head with a skateboard before the group fled. The injury required 14 stitches.

Dorson is described as white, 5-foot-9, 200 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest. To leave a tip, call 503-823-HELP.
