The Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office reports that detectives have linked the suspect to an Aug. 30 bank robbery in King County, and a Sept. 4 bank robbery in Tacoma.

However, the suspect has not been linked to two other robberies, in Wilsonville and Northwest Portland, last week.

On Saturday night, the man entered the Super 8 motel at 2548 SW Parkway Ct., displayed a gun and robbed the clerk of cash. He fled in a car parked near the motel entrance.

The Super 8 robbery was the third such motel robbery in as many days. The Silver Cloud Inn in Northwest Portland was robbed Thursday, and the La Quinta Inn in Wilsonville was robbed Friday. In both those cases victims were tied up and robbed. However, there was no indication the suspect in the Super 8 motel robbery was responsible for the other two, the sheriff’s office disclosed.

Meanwhile, surveillance photos of the suspect have been released. He is described as white, 35 to 40 years of age, with short dark hair and a large tattoo on his forearm. He is believed to have fled the King County robbery in a 1985-or-newer- Toyota Corolla style gold-colored car with Oregon plates.

Wilsonville police are working with King County and Tacoma authorities to identify the man. Anyone with information should contact the sheriff’s office Tip Line at 503-723-4949.
