PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — An armed bank robbery suspect was arrested after fleeing into a nearby building Monday afternoon in Northwest Portland’s Pearl District.

The robbery occurred at about 1:40 p.m. at a Wells Fargo at 845 NW 11th Ave. Arriving officers were told by witnesses that the suspect had run into a nearby building and was threatening people with a gun. Officers entered the building and apprehended the suspect safely, Portland police said.

The suspect’s name was not immediately released. There were no reported injuries.
