GRESHAM, Ore. (KOIN) — A second suspect has been arrested in connection with a kidnapping and robbery that occurred in Gresham last month.

Kelly S. Patterson, 31, was arrested Thursday night and lodged into the Multnomah County Detention Center on charges of assault, kidnapping and robbery.

On July 25, a woman called 911 to report that Patterson and two other women forced their way into her vehicle outside a 7-Eleven store in Gresham. They ordered her to drive to an industrial part of town, where they then allegedly attacked her.

Patterson reportedly told the victim to “drive or she would be killed,” Multnomah County prosecutors said.

Officers arrested Elma Orozco on Aug. 15. She has confessed to her involvement, according to court documents. Police have not released details on the third suspect.

The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries and is expected to be OK, Gresham police said.

Patterson will be arraigned Friday afternoon.
