NE Portland hit-and-run driver sought

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – Authorities are looking for the driver of a truck who fled after causing a three-vehicle crash overnight Sunday in Northeast Portland.

The collision occurred just before midnight Sunday at the intersection of Northeast 162nd Avenue and Glisan Street. One of the victims said she was half-way across the intersection when a white truck struck her.

“I saw this white truck just coming on and they didn’t’ attempt to stop,” the woman said. “I was already in the middle, I couldn’t stop. I could just go straight. And then he just hit me, and then I think I spin (sic) around in a full circle.”

No one was seriously hurt.

The woman said the suspect truck stopped in a parking lot, the driver looked around, and then sped away. The exact details of the collision were not immediately confirmed.

Portland and Gresham police searched the area, but were unable to locate the suspect.
