PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — One man is being held after a three-vehicle crash on southbound I-5 left one person dead and the highway shut down.
Ronald David Witt allegedly was driving a Ford F-150 pickup that rear-ended a small Chevy coupe. That car then rear-ended an Audi.
Witt is being held for driving with a revoked license.
A KOIN 6 News check of his driving record shows Witt has either pleaded guilty or been convicted of DUII in 1989, 1990, 1996, 2006 and 2008. He’s been convicted of driving with a revoked license in 1994 and 2008 and has other convictions for different offenses.
Southbound I-5 was shut down for hours while the investigation was conducted.
