KEIZER, Ore. (AP) — A pickup truck hit a wheelchair Wednesday in a Keizer crosswalk.
A 25-year-old woman in the wheelchair, Rachell Lehmann, was pinned under the bumper when police arrived. She was taken to a Salem hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening.
The Statesman Journal reports the 32-year-old Salem man driving the truck told police he stopped at the intersection and looked both ways but didn’t see the wheelchair. He was cited for failing to stop for a pedestrian.
