PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – Authorities are searching for three armed men who allegedly broke into a Southeast Portland apartment and stole cash Thursday morning.

The robbery occurred at about 11 a.m. at the Highlander Apartments on the 1200 block of Southeast 122nd Avenue. The victims told Portland police the men entered through an unlocked rear sliding glass door, forced two women and two small children into the bathroom, and then made two other men get down on the floor.

The men searched the apartment while a fourth suspect, the getaway driver, waited outside in a dark-green four-door vehicle. After taking an undisclosed amount of cash, the men ran to the vehicle and were last seen driving south on 122nd Avenue.

No one was hurt and no gunshots were fired, Portland police said.

Two of the suspects in the break-in were described as white, and the third as African-American. The sex and race of the getaway driver remains unknown.

Portland police did not confirm if the victims were familiar with the suspects prior to the home invasion.
