(KOIN) – A 34-year-old man was critically injured after allegedly jumping into the path of a car Wednesday night in West Linn.
West Linn police report that a 2005 Pontiac Grand Am was traveling north on Willamette Drive when Brian Stewart leaped in front of the car. He was transported to Oregon Health & Science University, where he remains in critical condition.
The 17-year-old female driver remained at the scene. Police said she was driving properly and was not impaired.
Investigators learned that Stewart had been acting erratically and making suicidal statements immediately prior to the incident, police said.
No citations were issued.
