PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Portland Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard felt bad about brushing off a high school fan he met while shopping, so he made it up to him.
Lillard was shopping in Bridgeport Mall and was approached by Siros Ardestani, who wanted to take a picture of the NBA Rookie of the year. But Lillard said he couldn’t and he kept shopping.
But the young star tweeted about the encounter and said he felt bad about the brush off.
Ardestani follows Lillard on Twitter and tweeted him back. Lillard told him to meet up at the mall again for another shot.
They took the picture and Lillard posted it to his Twitter feed –– and said he’s always happy to meet his fans.
