TIGARD, Ore. (KOIN) — No one was hurt and all the pets were saved when a fire broke out at a Tigard apartment complex Tuesday morning.

The fire at the Main Street Apartments, located at 9270 SW Maplewood Dr., began at about 6:30 a.m., officials with Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue said.

Several pets — including two dogs, a turtle and a guinea pig — trapped in the complex were safely brought out and reunited with their owners.

The fire was mostly extinguished by 7 a.m. A cause has not yet been determined.
