PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Interstate 84 west reopened Monday morning after being closed throughout the weekend for a repaving project.
The 5.5-mile westbound stretch was closed between Interstate 5 and Interstate 205, causing major disruptions for drivers. It reopened early Monday morning. The parallel eastbound stretch was closed for repaving last weekend.
The Oregon Department of Transportation today released a time-lapse video of this weekend’s work.
The final portion of the project will be completed next month. The same westbound stretch will be closed from 11 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, to 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 5, for lane stripping and sign replacement.
