(KOIN) – Hundreds of union workers at Daimler Trucks North America’s Swan Island plant will return to work after ratifying a deal Monday to end a three-week-long strike.

The Members of International Union of Painters and Allied Trades, made up of machinists and painters, approved a 40-month labor agreement that includes a $1.55 per hour wage increase.

The plant’s 725 union workers will be back at work Tuesday morning.  They had been on strike since July 2.

The Swan Island plant makes up to 30 Western Star trucks a day.
