PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Interstate 84 east reopened Monday morning after being closed throughout the weekend for a repaving project.
The 5.5-mile eastbound stretch was closed between Interstate 5 and Interstate 205, causing major disruptions for drivers. It reopened at 5 a.m. Monday.
The Oregon Department of Transportation released a time-lapse video of the project.
Meanwhile, I-84 westbound will be closed for paving next weekend. It will be shut down between I-5 and I-205 from 10 p.m. Friday, July 19, to 5 a.m. Monday, July 22.
The same westbound stretch will also be closed from 11 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, to 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 5, for lane stripping and sign replacement.
