Teen arrested in Portland drive-by shooting

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A teenager was arrested for allegedly shooting another teen in a drive-by shooting in North Portland on July 2.

Omar Solano-Quitana, 18, was arrested July 10 following an investigation by Portland’s Gang Detectives, who later searched his home in Northeas Portland.

On July 2, Oscar Alvarez-Ramirez, also 18, was shot multiple times near N. Foss Avenue and Houghton Street around 9:30 p.m. He is recovering from his wounds.

Solano-Quitana faces attempted murder, first-degree assault and unlawful use of a weapon charges.

The investigation into the case continues.
