Crash knocks out power to 2,200 in Gresham

(KOIN) – More than 2,200 PGE customers in the Gresham area were left without electricity for nearly four hours after a car collided into a power pole early Thursday morning.

The crash occurred at about 4:18 a.m. at the intersection of Northeast Cleveland Avenue and Division Street, according to dispatchers with the Bureau of Emergency Communications.

One person was transported to a nearby hospital. The victim’s name and condition was not immediately confirmed.

PGE spokesperson Steve Corson reported that power was restored by 8:10 a.m.
