PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — The heat wave continues throughout the West, with temperatures in and around Portland expected to reach 90 and above for the next few days.
KOIN 6 News Chief Meteorologist Bruce Sussman does not see any rain until possibly Tuesday night in the I-5 corridor. Thunderstorms may form over the Cascades and drift across the valley.
As hot as it is in Oregon, it’s even hotter in the Southwest.
Forecasters in Phoenix and Las Vegas say the temperature could reach 120 today. About 200 people were treated for heat-related issues at an outdoor concert in Las Vegas yesterday, the Associated Press reported.
