MOUNT HOOD, Ore. (KOIN) — Helicopters scoured the upper elevations of Mount Hood in the sixth day of the search for Salem dentist Kinley Adams, but it ended the same way the first five days did.
The search ended for the day around 5 p.m., officials said, with another search beginning at 2 a.m. Saturday. Helicopters will begin another day looking around 10 a.m., the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office said.
On Friday, a Chinook helicopter spotted a climbing rope in the area, but many climbing ropes are left behind by others.
Weather once again played a factor as thunderstorms may roll into the area.
Adams, 59, has not been seen since Saturday. He is an experienced climber who previously helped on other search and rescue missions.
