MOUNT HOOD, Ore. (KOIN) — An outpouring of volunteer searchers continued scouring Mount Hood Wednesday looking for Kinley Adams, the Salem dentist who hasn’t been seen since Saturday.
Adams, 59, is an experienced climber who previously volunteered on the ski patrol and helped in other rescues with people now looking for him.
Robert Henry with the Deschutes County Search and Rescue has known Adams for 34 years. He believes Adams likely made a shelter in the snow to keep dry.
The team of searchers plans to continue looking until they find him, and they believe he had enough water with him to survive 10 days.
The Wednesday search was set back by weather for about three hours. Morning searchers got up to 10,000 feet but still found no sign of the dentist.
