TUALATIN, Ore. (KOIN) — A suspicious backpack closed off a parking lot of the Bridgeport Village shopping center in Tualatin Wednesday afternoon.

Tualatin police report the backpack was found in a parking spot north of the Saks Fifth Avenue store sometime before 12:20 p.m. A Portland police bomb squad was called to the scene and determined the backpack to be harmless. The parking lot was reopened by 1:15 p.m.

All Bridgeport Village stores, along with the other parking lots, remained open during the incident.

Police did not confirm the contents of the backpack, or if investigators know who it may have belonged to.
