Summer officially arrives at 10:04 p.m. PT Thursday night, making this the longest day of the year.
KOIN meteorologist Sally Showman said Thursday has 15 hours, 41 minutes, 14 seconds of daylight. The sun rose at 5:22 a.m. and will set at 9:03 p.m.
On Friday, we’ll lose five seconds of daylight.
Friday will begin to look more like summer late in the day with more sunshine after the morning rain and showers taper off. Saturday will bring sunshine with temperatures in the upper 70s after morning clouds burn off.
