VANCOUVER, Wash. (KOIN) — Micah Snell can’t walk or talk or sit or do what most 3-year-olds do. But not many can say they’ll be in their third marathon in three months on Sunday.

Micah has cerebral palsy, and he’s the reason his dad, Jeff, will finish three marathons in three different states in three months on Father’s Day.

“He’s got this amazig personality and a little light that shines out from him,” Jeff Snell told KOIN 6 News. “People are inspired by him. When they’re around him they feel good about life.”

The family raises money for the United Cerebral Palsy Foundation of Oregon and SW Washington through Micah’s Miles. Every time he and his dad hit the road with other marathoners, they’re raising money.

“I think they see him for what he can do instead of what he can’t, and that’s what’s amazing about getting him out there and sharing his story. He’s got stuff to say and they listen.”

His mom, Suzie Snell, said “Having a child with disabilities isn’t easy but it’s fun to be able to get the word out and his story and help other kids like Micah and other people like Micah.”

The Father’s Day Marathon will be the fifth one Jeff and Michah run together over the past year.
