PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A three-story house in Northwest Portland suffered $100,000 in damage from a two-alarm fire Saturday morning.
When firefighters arrived at 2061 NW Kearney, flames were shooting from a second-story window. Crews were concerned the fire would spread to next-door houses and called for extra help.
The nearby houses were spared with only minimal damage, officials said.
Investigators determined the fire was caused by combustible items that were too close to a wall heater.
No injuries were reported.
