The bridge and groom and their wedding party rode in eight separate pedicabs from the Ace Hotel to the Multnomah County Courthouse for the ceremony.

They’ve been together for eight years and lived in several different cities, but they both said there is no place like the Rose City.

“We love Portland,” the bride said, beaming. Using pedicabs is “a very Portland thing to do.”

Bump rides his bike to work every day and said he was “kind of hoping for rain just to get everyone from out of town a taste of Portland weather.”

After the ceremony, they planned to take a walk along the waterfront and have some wedding photos taken.

“We have a box of 45s to sit and listen to, drink some whiskey and listen to music all night,” he said.
