(KOIN) – Three people were injured in a two-vehicle collision in Southeast Portland early Tuesday morning.
Portland Fire & Rescue reports that the accident occurred at about 4:40 a.m. on Southeast Foster Road, near 111th Avenue. Crews arrived to find one of the victims pinned by the steering wheel and dashboard. Firefighters used specialized equipment to extricate the victim just after 5 a.m.
Two of the injured patients were taken to a nearby hospital, while the third refused to be transported. Their names and conditions were not confirmed.
The cause of the crash was not immediately disclosed.
The crash shut down Foster Road in both directions.
