(KOIN) – A Gresham man accused of driving a truck that was involved in a rollover crash last year in Southern Oregon, killing his passenger, has been arrested.
Twenty-two-year-old Sean Berglund of Gresham was indicted by a Lake County grand jury last week on one count of first-degree manslaughter. He was arraigned Monday.
According to Oregon State Police (OSP), on Sept. 1, 2012, Berglund was driving a 1997 Ford F-150 pickup truck on Highway 31 in Lake County , about four miles south of the town of Silver Lake, when he went off the road and rolled into a ditch. His passenger, 22-year-old Robert Busch of Gresham, died at the scene.
Berglund initially told troopers that there was a third, unidentified person driving the vehicle. However, they later determined he was lying.
Berglund was booked and released from the Lake County Jail on $50,000 bail.
