Boy hit by car in Beaverton is improving

BEAVERTON, Ore. (KOIN) — The mother of a Beaverton boy who was hit by a car Monday said her son is improving.

The 5-year old is in the hospital.

She said he should be released in a couple of days.

This happened at an apartment complex near Southwest Scholls Ferry Road and Southwest Hall Monday night.

Police think the boy ran behind a car as the driver was backing out of a parking spot. The 5-year-old was hit and seriously hurt.

The driver is not facing any charges.
