Sinkhole opens in NE Portland

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A sinkhole at least several feet deep opened up on a Portland city street around 4 p.m. Thursday.

The sinkhole appeared in the 1700 block of 46th Avenue, between NE Broadway and NE Hancock, the Portland Bureau of Transportation told KOIN 6 News.

Police cordoned off the area and blocked access to 46th at the intersections with Broadway and Hancock.
