SALEM, Ore. (KOIN) — A teenage driver was impaled after colliding with a cyclone fence in a crash that also injured three other teens Friday afternoon in Salem.
The teens, all Sprague High School students, were in a 1996 Nissan sedan, Salem Police Department officials said. The driver was apparently speeding and hill hopping on Ballyntine Road when the driver lost control, left the road and collided with about 300 feet of cyclone fencing.
The driver was impaled and was rushed to an area hospital. He is expected to recover.
The other teens suffered minor injuries.
