PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — The Ross Island Sand & Gravel Co. is footing the clean-up bill after a barge and a tug sank Tuesday night in the Willamette River.

The sinking left a small oil spill at the pier near the Ross Island Sand & Gravel Co.

Cleanup crews are using booms to soak up the oil, which is being described as a fairly small spill.

Coast Guard crews are investigating.
