PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A golden retriever, known to most of the customers at a local grocery store, was returned to his owner after what was thought to be a dognapping.
Tora, a fixture at Bruce Yang’s 102nd Street Market in Northeast Portland, was last seen on surveillance video leaving the front door of the market on Thursday. It appeared he got into a car with customers who bought a few items at the store and left about the same time as Tora.
Police investigated using the credit card purchase to track the buyers.
But Tora was returned safely. Yang said he thinks a child took the dog, and the child’s parents returned the dog on Monday.
Yang said Tora has never before just wandered off.
