FOREST GROVE, Ore. (KOIN) — Those following the Forest Grove Fire Department’s Twitter account saw tweets related to “Angry Birds” and “Star Wars” Thursday — instead of the department’s usual fire news.

It turns out the account was hacked — by a 5-year-old.

That boy is the son of a spokesperson for the department.

The spokesperson said the 5-year-old got ahold of his phone — and was pushing buttons playing games. It appears the messages were automatic tweets sent from angry birds.

The Forest Grove Fire Department later tweeted an apology explaining what happened. They joked: “In other news, the universe is safe from pigs.”
