PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – A woman driving a red sedan took a wrong turn Sunday morning ending up stuck in the bike and pedestrian path on the Glenn Jackson Memorial Bridge.

Dispatchers with the Bureau of Emergency Communications told KOIN 6 News that a passer-by noticed the vehicle in between the northbound and southbound lanes of I-205 near Government Island.

Portland Police officers responded and spoke with the driver of the vehicle before escorting her off of the pathway.

Traffic was not impacted. It is unclear why the woman drove onto the pathway. Sgt Pete Simpson with the Portland Police Bureau said that impairment was not suspected.
