Witnesses stopped a driver from running after he hit a pedestrian at 185th and Farmington in Aloha (April 4, 2013)

ALOHA, Ore. (KOIN) – An allegedly drunk driver jumped the sidewalk and hit a pedestrian, then tried to run away before witnesses stopped him

The incident at 185th and Farmington happened late Thursday afternoon when the driver of a BMW, Bradley Gray, tried to negotiate a turn and hit the pedestrian.

“”There was a young lady in front of me,” witness Matthew Reyes told KOIN 6 News. “He hit the young lady. It was scary, really scary.

The woman is expected to be fine.

A second car-pedestrian crash happened within minutes of this. An 11-year-old girl died after she was hit by a car in the front yard of her Washington County house.
